homeone® in conjunction with Meridian Project Consulting Pty Ltd is proud to deliver the online Homeone Owner Builder Course, a NSW Office of Fair Trading approved course helping you to obtain an owner builder certificate and licence.
The Homeone Owner Builder Course content was put together by author, John Makdessi, who has a degree in Civil Engineering and is a qualified licensed builder. John has extensive senior project & asset management experience and is author of the popular "Home Renovation & Building Checklist" book in publication over 10 years.
Benefits of taking the homeone owner builder course
Disputes on building sites (in nearly all cases) arise from lack of communication. Whether it is in the documentation, clear lines communication or just straight out lack of knowledge in the hope it will work itself out. Even with the best of intentions by all stakeholders, time and time again disputes and conflicts arise because of these main categories.
Manage Your Risk
It is an enormous task to expect of someone to be a fully competent builder either in an online or a weekend face to face course. The idea is to do 80% of the work upfront and gather as much information as possible so as to best be prepared. With the project management templates and pricing guidelines provided in this course, it will greatly assist in minimising risk of disputes relating to time, cost and quality blow-outs. Also, they will help in reducing the stress of uncertainty and making the process of designing, preparing and building your own home an enjoyable one.
homeone® Owner Builder Course
This course, approved by the NSW Government Office of Fair Trading, has been formatted in a simplistic way to easily guide you through the building process cycle. The owner builder course has been prepared for you to complete as a statutory requirement to obtain an owner builders license valid in NSW, and to supply you with comprehensive information and project management templates so you're best prepared for your owner build venture.
